STORY BEHIND SIMULATOR ENTERTAINMENT
The interest in the career of Engineering in Control and Automatization (ECA), especially in the simulator entertainment team, has progressively diminished in recent years. This seems to go against the control and automation solutions that are being implemented in industry and other sectors, and the growing importance of AC engineers for the advancement of technology in the country. One of the reasons for this decrease in demand could be related to the lack of knowledge of the impact and importance of these engineers for different sectors of development in the country. In this way, the project of this team is its focus is to publicize ECA activities in a strategic sector for Colombia and the world, which is the control system. Some projects we want to include students, with a view to closing the huge gap between the practice developed (at ECA) and the perception of science (and automation). It should be noted that the bridge between Control and Automatization Engineering (ECA) and academic research as well as industrial applications.

- Control: Modeling, Simulation and Identification of Systems, Control of Continuous Dynamic Systems, Discrete and Hybrid Events, Measurement and Instrumentation for Control and Automation.
- Automation and Mechatronic Systems: Manipulator Robots, Mobile Robotics, Computer Vision Systems, Urban Traffic Control, Virtual Companies and Collaborative Networks, Actuators.
- Computing Systems: Real Time, Fault Tolerance and Security, Distributed Systems and Networks, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Industrial Informatics.
- Automation, Control, Optimization and Instrumentation for Oil and Gas Industries: Regulatory and Advanced Control of Oil and Gas Industry Processes, Predictive Control and Optimization in Real Time, Optimization of Oil Field Production, Instrumentation for Oil Industry Processes and Gas, Automation of Production Platforms.
